Nuts. I went to print my blog (I want to do this every year.) and it's almost one hundred smack-a-roos.
YIKES!
I know I'm long winded. And, I know I have a million pictures of Carter...but 300 pages in one year? WOW. And, that's with the "space saver" printing option.
Really, if you divide it out, it's still a good price. Especially for color. BUT--I'm having a hard time clicking "check out".
I keep checking the couch and the lint trap, but I have yet to find $100 laying around.
I know it's worth it. Preserving my thoughts and memories of this special time will never be something I regret. Especially since sadly, it's the only written record I have since I stink at hand-journaling. (Hand cramp!!)
I figure I can use my birthday money. BUT the hard part for me is waiting. Once I decide to print it yearly (IE: every January) waiting until April is hard.
So, in order to help my lack of patience, does anyone know of a cheaper way to print your blog? I've used blog2print before and will probably go with them again unless someone has a cheaper solution. I was really happy with the final product and price. But, just in case I have been swindled I thought I'd ask my fellow bloggers.
Do you know of a cheaper way to print your blog? Who do you use?
Thanks for the advice, and thanks for sticking with me through the gazillions of blogs I do :)
Have you checked out Blurb? My sister always uses them, and they often have good promotions going on. I made Forrest a book of all his mission pictures, and I happened to find a groupon that was like 20 dollars for 50, so I ended up getting a 100+ page book for 20 dollars! I doubt they have that right now, but I know they always have some kind of deal going on.
ReplyDeleteI have actually! I even downloaded it and played with the software. My problem with them (unless you know a way around it) is that they automatically make each post a page. I have many posts where it's just a picture and a few lines of text...so there ends of being TONS of white space, which equals paying for a lot of pages. Since my book would be 300 pages, I don't have the patience to manually cut and paste and rearrange everything. I think it's great for wanting to customize it, but I love the drag and drop in features of blog2print that doesn't require any time.
