Time sure flies when you're having fun. Crazy to think that me and Claudy have been married four years already!
I told him that I definitely could NOT fit in my wedding dress this year. In fact, this year is different in so many ways. Usually we try to go out of town, or do something big. However, with the baby (and baby bills) on the way we're not going to do much. I'm busy making his favorite cookies before he gets home and that's probably all of the gifting that we'll be doing.
Now, this would have bugged me at the beginning. However, I am so content. We're about to have our first child together and I don't think that there is a better present we could get each other.
Not only that, but the way Claudy has loved and taken care of me these past nine months has been the best gift anyone could have given me. I knew how sweet he was, and it wasn't that I thought he was incapable of treating me so well, but he's just gone above and beyond any expectation I had. The way he has lovingly been to my aid for the smallest things has truly shown me how to unconditionally love someone. He has been so sweet and protective--even banning me from going grocery shopping these last few weeks just in case something happens. He even texts me almost every afternoon asking how I'm feeling and if I'm doing OK. Not to mention doing dishes, making meals, doing laundry, preparing the apartment for the baby, getting me drinks of water, applesauce...anything that I need. And even getting me thoughtful things I don't need like just bringing me a Krispy Kreme donut because he thought I might like it. Not to mention going to school full time, working almost full time and never once complaining. He is my perfect husband.
This sounds so cliche, but it's true. I've never been happier than these past four years. I know God loves and cares about me, because he sent me Claudy.
